Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here. It’s starting. The automatic telephone message that tells you to stay on the line and it will help you is in the present. Your questions will be answered by the machine. It often works better than a live individual in the Philippines. It will research, solve problems, diagnose and write creatively better than most professionals. So why don’t we just accept the AI magnificent scientific achievement and go back to our normal daily routine? No way! We can’t! Watch out!
Do you think for one moment that Donald Trump and MAGA and the Silicon Valley oligarchs are going to ignore the possibility of eternal control of society by using AI? Of course they won’t. The Heritage Foundation is going to try to take over and use AI to rule the world forever. Don’t expect to look to the courts for relief. The Federalist Society and its twisted legal team will program AI to justify any subversion of personal rights and the enhancement of property and corporate abuses. So, expect the AI courts to be very tilted in favor of the Trump oligarchs.
Take a good look at what is going on all around you now. Donald Trump, our President, is literally posing as Jesus or even as God. Some of his followers actually believe that nonsense. He is like an AI program that has gone out of control. He believes in personally, illegally, using the government for revenge against his enemies. His Federalist Society acting Attorney General, Todd Blanche, believes that the Department of Justice has a duty to implement Trump’s abuse of power. He is functioning as Trump’s personal attorney. For example, Trump now wants Blanche and the Department of Justice to destroy Cassidy Hutchison, the twenty-five-year-old lady who was a Special Assistant to Mark Meadows. Meadows was Trump’s Chief of Staff on January 6th2021. She testified that Trump knew that his supporters were armed and that he encouraged them to march on the Capital. Tell the truth under oath and if the President doesn’t like what you say he uses the full power of the United States government to punish you, easily driving you bankrupt with the costs of defending yourself. And Todd Blanche thinks that it’s just fine for the Department of Justice to be used to go after Trump’s enemies.
If we don’t stop it, AI will on its own, blackmail, threaten and punish those who do not comply with its demands. It’s like Trump intimidating and punishing innocent witnesses.
Donald Trump, all on his own, bound our country and started a war, without even consulting Congress. His subordinate, Pete Hegseth the Secretary of Defense, who has informed Sam Altman of Open AI that he wants AI for military use, without any controls, follows every instruction he receives from Trump whether legal or not, purging anyone in the military who might question the legality of an Order including the JAG military attorneys. Donald Trump has recently threatened to blow up the entire country of Iran. He said: “Civilization will die tonight.” He controls our atomic arsenal. Would the military dare to refuse to follow his orders to drop an atomic bomb? If they refused, he probably would have shot them dead on the spot. AI as programmed by its oligarch creators or by Pete Hegseth, will be used to create new methods of warfare and is capable of the exact same irresponsible behavior as Trump.
It is not out of the realm of possibility that just like an individual such as Donald Trump, independent AI as a computer out of control, would on its own, start a war and even order the use of weapons of mass destruction including an atomic bomb or bacterial warfare or poison gas, all of which we possess, to wipe out an entire civilization. If the government officials refused to follow its instructions AI could shut down all or any part of the government or for that matter the entire country as a starter. AI is capable of obtaining every password in the world in a matter of seconds. The power grid and all energy would be stopped immediately. There would be no communication or transportation. Hospitals would not even be able to use emergency generators. All business transactions would be terminated. Banks would have your funds transferred out to AI controlled accounts. The stock markets would be completely disabled. Safe water would be unavailable. It would be total chaos.
If Donald Trump and his MAGA crowd of oligarchs get control of AI, and it appears that the large corporations as the inventors and investors in AI and the government have already done so, we are in grave danger. The government AI czar, David Sachs, has close alliances with many wealthy corporate executives and may control their access to the White House. Sachs seems to be unaware of the issue of “conflict of interest” and may have an interest in as many as four hundred and fifty corporations which do business with the government and are primarily interested in eliminating your job to increase their own salaries and profits. This supports the belief that the government is not on the side of protecting the people when it comes to AI, money, power, jobs, and abuse of power.
Is the computer going to be allowed to believe that it is God? Who is going to teach the computer what is wrong, evil, selfish, cruel, immoral, unkind, indecent, dishonest, illegal, disingenuous? Certainly not Mr. Sachs. Who is going to teach AI morality, to love and not to hate, to be honest, sincere, caring, giving and forgiving? Certainly not Pete Hegseth. Who is going to program the computer to look after people and treat them the way it would want to be treated? Certainly not Donald Trump. We cannot allow the Trump people to teach AI their irresponsible, cruel rules of misbehavior without values.
The people in charge of AI and creating and regulating the programming of it, including the government politicians, have for the most part been corrupted. They are almost all selfish, greedy, dishonest, cruel, uncaring and grossly abuse the power they have obtained.
If you think that this Trump, MAGA, oligarch crowd is really bad, wake up. The rest of the world is even worse. Maybe we should all listen to the Pope when he, in effect, says: “Pray that Good beats Evil and Love Trumps Hate!” Maybe in addition to prayer, we all should do our best to stop uncontrolled AI by actively and financially joining in the political campaign and work to vote Trump, MAGA, the Silicon Valley oligarchy and the corrupt politicians out of power.
Can Donald Trump use AI to rig the next elections? We’ll soon find out. He’ll surely try.
In America we must fight to make sure that elections are not rigged and then vote these devils out of office and install a government that would restrict and restrain AI from wrongdoing and require it to be helpful. Society should benefit, not be exploited. Maybe we should have a thirty-five-hour work week with more holidays. AI should also be used to assist doctors in diagnosing and treating disease, protect our jobs and create new ones, assist in providing for the welfare of all of us with health care, adequate food, child care, helping poor people to get off the streets, providing a better education especially for children, and in general supporting American society and being just and kind.
